About Cassie

Cassie discovered the "magic" of sport psychology as a young gymnast. Cassie was on track to become a Division I gymnast, when all of a sudden, she developed performance anxiety and mental blocks that would prohibit her from reaching her full potential. After several sessions with a Sport Psychologist, she started to work through her mental obstacles and get back on track to compete again. Fast forward a few years later and a sports change, Cassie worked her way on to the volleyball team at Concordia University, St. Paul (NCAA Division II). When she experienced some mental blocks on the volleyball court, she turned to the mental performance coach on campus for help. In the end, Cassie felt that reached her full potential as a collegiate athlete by working hard on her physical game, and even harder on her mental game.

To say that sport psychology changed Cassie's life for the better, would be an understatement. Cassie understands first hand the pressures, the perspectives, and the perfectionism that athletes face throughout their athletic careers.

After college, Cassie spent time coaching high school gymnastics and collegiate volleyball at the DIII and DII respectively. Through those experiences, she started to realize that all athletes face mental battles and that she was never alone. She was just brave enough at the time to ask for help. Knowing that there were a lot of athletes out there that needed a mental performance coach propelled her to pursue a masters degree in sport psychology.

In 2018, Cassie graduated with a masters degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Minnesota State University - Mankato. Since then, she has worked at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and in the Twin Cities as a Mental Performance Coach for athletes, coaches, and businesses.

Cassie resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her fiancé, Jerron, and two dogs, Leo and Tito. When she is not working with athletes or watching sports (almost 24/7), you can find her enjoying a sunset, doing a HIIT workout, playing with her dogs, or reading a good book!
